Midlands sub-contracting specialist Kepston Limited has just completed a £1.5m investment plan to further expand its jig and universal grinding operations.
The firm, whose services include furnace brazing, bright annealing, magnetic annealing, heat treatment, precision grinding and machining, is experiencing one of the strongest trading periods in its history after investing the sum to add new machinery to sites in Aldridge and Wednesbury.
Kepston Limited’s most recent investment has been made at its Aldridge site with the addition of a Moore 1200 – CP 180i high rise CNC Jig grinding machine.
Kepston Limited managing director Brent Millage said: “This latest investment was necessary to ensure we can meet increasing capacity requirements as well as maintaining the stringent quality standards expected from our customers.”
The company, founded in the Midlands in 1916, has expanded its capability by also invested in an EDM wire eroding plant, which is amongst the largest in terms of component size in the country.
Mr Millage credited staff for the success, stating they’ve had to make hard decisions such as taking investment risks at difficult times.
“By listening to our customers and then supporting them with an excellent service, we have been able to move the business forward,” he said.
“One of the main reasons why we as a company are flourishing is because our customers are doing well and feel that we have contributed to their success.”
